What does 'Light is High' Mean?

Just got my pulse pro today. Keep getting a ‘Light is High’ alert. What does this mean? And also, in the app, my light is at 96%. What does that mean?

Also, are there any good YouTube tutorials breaking down exactly how to interpret all this information? Thanks

Hi @DarkCoastExotix welcome!

Light is High means that your low light threshold has been exceeded.

The low light threshold is only active during “night time” so make sure your photoperiods are set up correctly.

but what is the threshold based on? if the measurement is 30% , what is that 30% of?

Light is tricky.

If you want something agriculturally relevant, your only approach is to measure PAR/PPFD with a sensor that can do that like the Pulse Pro.

The “Light” measurement that you’re talking about is a relative light intensity sensor that responds differently to different wavelengths. Here’s the response curve of the sensor we use for relative light readings:

The main takeaway is that it is a relative light intensity measurement, with 30% being the percentage of the maximum range the sensor can measure.
