Pulse One caddy

I made a Pulse One caddy. It does slide up/down as the plant grows. My question is it supposed to be mid-canopy ( like I’m looking at someone’s chest) or above canopy ?

Nice. It should sit at canopy level so the sensors reading exactly what the plants are. Don’t stick it within leaves though, you’ll get false high humidity results.

Slightly related, I’ve been racking my brain for years trying to come up with an easily moved gadget to hold pulse pro while taking Par readings. I did make a little platform hung by string, but it’s far from ideal. Anyone else come up with something that just works?

Here is a close up, the 2 probes has been moved. The black rectangle is the IHC-200 humidity controller from Inkbird. It is more like upper-canopy not above the canopy. I know it has to be steady not moving at all to get good readings. Where its at now is giving me good readings. The way it looks in the picture looks like its close to the plant but its 6-8 inches from the plant.

Can someone from pulse confirm that using a little “sun shade” on the device is appropriate? Seems to make sense to me but I’d like it factually confirmed. If so, why not manufacture this into the design OR recomend it?

here is where Peet mentioned a shade, I have noticed a difference with the shade off with higher temperature readings. I have also find it better to place the unit slightly above mid-canopy.
